Day 1: Tamworth to Port Macquarie

We left Tamworth Friday 27 May and were travelling about an hour when I remembered our medications were still in the van and we were on the way to Port Macquarie for a weeks stay at Wyndham Resort Flynn's Beach, not a good start. Half an hour west of Wauchope there was a loud bang and we discovered the biggest stone chip in the middle of the windscreen, "not happy Jan".  Our arrival at Wyndham Resort was on time along with all the other guests (54 out of 60 units were occupied).  After checking in we were unable to use our door key and had to report to the front desk for admittance to our room, it felt like gaol and we were let out for day release but we were given a new release dvd for the night for the inconvenience
